Dorothy “Dot” Watson Cosnahan, 82, a lifelong resident of Savannah passed away on Monday, December 4, 2006. She was married for 56 years to the late Robert F. Cosnahan, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cosnahan of Savannah; daughter, Pat and son-in-law, Bob Camp of Cleveland, TN; son Bob and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Cosnahan of Columbus, GA, grandsons, Robert and Cayce of Cleveland, TN, grandson, Robert of Los Angeles, CA, granddaughter, Alicia of Washington, D.C., first cousin, Gus Canon and wife Chris of Eustis, FL, one niece and two nephews.
Dot was born in Savannah on March 12, 1924, graduated from Savannah High School and worked for the phone company during World War II. She was retired from the Savannah Electric and Power Company. She was lovingly known as “Mimi” and “Gran-ma” to her grandchildren. Good times and hard were shared with her longtime friends, some already passed on, Red and Anne, Shank and Frances, Billy and June, and Billy and Marie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Cosnahan, Sr. and her son, Joseph Cosnahan.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2006 at Bonaventure Cemetery.
